Wathai Heritage Bungalow


Steal yourself away to 'Wathai Heritage Bungalow, in Limbuguri Tea Estate- this newly added boutique plantation bungalow will allow you to rejuvenate your senses as it defines serenity and you will most certainly leave feeling revitalized. It has been recently renovated and is the ideal base whether on a quest for quietude or seeking refuge whilst on an explorative ornithological tour to the neighbouring Dibru Saikhowa National park. Located just 5kms from the park, it is the ideal retreat for a birding break as well. Riverine in nature, this park remains open for most of the year and birds such as Ruddy Shelduck, Black Breasted Parrotbill, Marsh Babbler, Jerdon's Bushchat, Hornbill, Marsh Harrier, Pied Harrier and many other ducks, birds of prey and grassland birds are commonly sighted here. It is indeed an orinthologist's delight! Endangered species like Gangetic Dolphin and Feral Horses are also common sights in the park.

Freshly brewed tea from the plantation can be enjoyed in the verandah to the front of the bungalow, while meals are served in the spacious dining room complete with an original fireplace. It has a total of 3 rooms named after birds - Minla- The family room, Sibia and Yuhina. All rooms have attached bathrooms with showers and can comfortably accommodate upto eight people .
